My family and I, on the day of the big snowstorm last weekend, went to see Elf the musical. It was at the Ordway in downtown St. Paul. Everything was covered in white, and we were freezing. After eating at Kincaid’s, we walked across the park to the theater. It felt like a winter wonderland. (sorry, cheesy..) It was a lot of fun though, and a great gift to just spend time with my family. My friend Heidi loaned me her White House Black Market gray tulle dress to wear. (Thanks Heidi!) Here are a few of the photos from that evening.
My wonderful friends Benn and Amber had their annual Christmas party yesterday. In typical Sarah fashion, I forgot to take pictures at the party (one of these years/days I’ll get better at documenting my life)…But anyway, it was wonderful. Complete with lovely decorations, delightful hors d’ouevres, and merry friends. After the fact, I decided I would share with you my Christmas party outfit. I went for bright, cozy, rich, shiny pieces (while staying a bit more on the casual side). Since this was post-party, my hair has seen better days and my pink lip gloss is gone. 😦 Here goes anyways!
Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to follow me!
This is what I wore last night to dinner with a friend. We went to O’Gara’s, a pub in St. Paul. It was a bit greasy, but the fries were good. It has a lot of Irish-Minnesota history and character to it, which adds something to the experience.
I love wearing my new orange jacket. I think as a Minnesotan, outerwear available in stores here is usually much too boring for me. Hence my purchase of this side-zip jacket. I like pairing it with my pink Doc Martens rubber-soled wedges (my favorite shoe purchase of 2012 so far).
First photo I tried to take of myself is below, but it wasn’t working out too well so my photographer jumped in (aka my roommate).
Jacket: Kensie (Macy’s). Sweater: MANGO (Mango, London). Jeans: White House Black Market. Shoes: Dr. Martens. (Dr. Martens stores) Bracelet: gift! Lavender nail polish: Revlon.
Thanksgiving update: My first two pumpkin pies of my baking life just popped out of the oven. I am super proud, even though the recipe was just from the side of a pumpkin can and I don’t even know yet if they turned out!
Thanks for stopping by!
